The Edge of Dreaming

Level-headed Amy doesn’t normally remember her dreams, with one exception though: she dreams her horse is lying dead outside in the middle of the night. The next nocturnal message is no less distressing: she prophesises her own death at the age of 48. The Edge of Dreaming follows Amy and her family during Amy’s supposed last year of life. When, just as predicted, Amy gets dangerously ill, she attempts to enter and correct the dream with the help of a neuroscientist. The film ends by taking the viewer on a final trip into Amy’s dream – when the story suddenly takes a surprising turn. (Zurich Film Festival)
