angielski The Dangers in My Heart is a series that might put you off in the first few episodes. The male protagonist is a bit of a wannabe edgelord who contemplates mass murder in his class, especially targeting the annoying girl who's invaded his library space to hide away and eat candy. Her constant daydreaming and obsession with sugar make it seem like she isn't the sharpest pencil in the box. She isn't the kind of character you'd root for off the bat. In short, the main couple has some pretty glaring flaws, and their early interactions border on awkward flirting and weird cringe. The series even hints that these two are worlds apart, so any romance or chemistry might be a stretch. But here's the twist – it works. Surprisingly well. The series just keeps getting better with each episode. Sure, the characters have some major flaws, but that's what makes them feel more human. The main guy might be a wannabe edgelord, but looking back at my teen years, I had my awkward, emo phase too. So, I can relate, even if it's a part of my past I'd rather forget. As the story unfolds, the chemistry kicks in, and the series builds a genuine romantic tension. The show plays with shots and colors to set the mood, transforming weird and cringy moments into sweet, romantic scenes. I found myself smiling, feeling warm, and genuinely rooting for the main couple. They may still have their quirks, but their rough edges start to soften, and logical explanations fill in some blanks about their characters. Slowly, I started thinking these two are perfect for each other, despite being on opposite ends of the social spectrum in their class with little in common. From a shaky start that reminded me of my awkward phase (we've all been there), where I questioned why I was still watching (certainly not for the main characters), and where my only real likes were the animation style and the beautiful opening, it evolved into a series I eagerly anticipated. I found myself wishing for a happy ending and was thrilled when they announced a second season. 8/10. ()
