For years, Martin's whereabouts have remained a mystery... until now. When a bank robbery goes wrong, desperate felons Julian, Marylin, and Kurt, scatter to meet up later at an abandoned house in the middle of nowhere. Grabbing hostages Samantha and her young daughter Courtney along the way, the group has no idea that the house they've chosen for their seclusion is about to become a hunting ground - with them as the prey... angielski The reviews in Filmbooster always put me off Malevolence, but since Bereavement, its prequel, came out today, and I quite liked the trailer, I thought I would give Malevolence a chance. And the verdict? For a low budget début, it’s great! I even considered giving it a fourth star, but what prevented that were two moments where the female lead could have dealt with the villain for good, but instead she chose to escape (with a gun in her hand). The actors aren’t the best, the script is a smorgasbord of everything slasher (from Fridays, through Halloween, to TCM), but the atmosphere is fantastic, the music is brilliant and a couple of jump-scares lifted me from my chair. A pleasant surprise, Stevan Mena has great potential. 7/10 ()
