Kong bu ji

Superb horror thriller. Fantastically made, beautiful cinematography (cinematographer Siu-keung Cheng has many films under his belt, for instance, the recent and excellent Drug War). It has a solid story and it’s atmospheric and violent but never cheap (as it’s usual in exploitation flicks). This is not a B-movie that will soon be forgotten and covered in dust, this is quality filmmaking. I recommend it to all horror fans without hesitation. Even those who aren’t too keen on Asian violence shouldn’t be afraid, Intruder holds the hysteria at ground level, the violence is relatively realistic and there aren’t any traces of childish humour.
