As in the 1967 theatrical version of Truman Capote's classic book, this telefilm, based on actual events, is set in 1950's Kansas and involves two drifters, Dick Hickock and Perry Smith. At first, their intention is to burglarize the Clutter home, but ultimately, they savagely murder the entire family. A dedicated FBI agent who was a friend of the Clutters doggedly pursues the killers. This longer adaptation offers more insight into the various members of the close-knit Clutter family, making their grisly demise seem all the more tragic. (oficjalny tekst dystrybutora)

angielski "Chladnokrevně" is absolutely fantastic and cold-blooded book by Truman Capote, which deals with a case where a four-member family was murdered. The murder was absolutely unnecessary. "Chladnokrevně" is also a film, which was made based on this book in 1967, and it realistically conveyed the book with its raw, almost documentary style. "Chladnokrevně" is also a television film from 1996, which processes the same source material and attempted to adapt it to the present form. The question arises why? Isn't it easier for television to broadcast the film from 1967, which is truly powerful and compelling to the viewer? More: http://www.filmovy-denik.cz/2013/04/chladnokrevne-1996-50.html ()
