540 osób zamieszkuje najgęściej zaludnioną sztuczną wyspę kolumbijskich Karaibów. Wyspa Santa Cruz del Islote (Święty Krzyż Wysepki) ma wielkość boiska piłkarskiego. Nie ma tu ani policji, ani księży, ani lekarzy, ani zbrojnych konfliktów. Jest 97 domów dla 18 rodzin, szkoła, restauracja w porcie i mały plac z krzyżem w centrum. "Aislados", przez spojrzenie na życie na wyspie, codzienne interakcje i zmagania mieszkańców, na ich walkę o pozostanie na swoim terytorium, pozwala zastanowić się nad rolą człowieka jako mieszkańca wszechświata. Maleńka wysepka staje się metaforą naszej planety. (Warsaw Film Festival)

At the beginning it seems as if the movie Aislados was made by an amateur filmmaker. But I quickly tuned to the wavelengths of those two incomers who decided to occupy the Frenchman’s house and the fun could begin. What followed was an incredible salvo of funny dialogues that seemed endless and I must say I couldn’t walk away from the screen for the entire hour and a half. It’s a pity that the movie has a classical Spanish ending. After some experience from work, I’ve felt lately that the Spanish stereotype is a Spanish guy sitting around, doing nothing, staring blankly and doing something that makes no sense whatsoever. Or doing nothing at all. And this was what forced me not to give the movie a five-star review.
