Sasahara starts his first day of college not knowing a soul, and decides to join a club and meet some friends. But he carries with him a horrible secret: he is obsessed with "nerdy" hobbies like anime and video games! Luckily he encounters the club called Genshiken, which is dedicated to manga and anime, and whose members are much like Sasahara himself. I'm definitely going to follow up with a 3-part OVA and another 12-part sequel, because I liked it and it actually kind of made me want to try to start something similar at our school. Because I got tired of not having anyone to chat with about new episodes of this or that anime, manga. I had fun, I wasn't bored, I believed. One of the best "seinen".
