The bar pianist Misu Herendi lost one leg ten years ago when he was robbed in Paris, and back then he promised to himself not to play the piano any more. He lives in Budapest, by doing odd jobs, sunk ever more into misery. Turai, the manager of a department store, employs him as Santa Claus. He is again in his element – he sings, is loved and applauded to. Unexpectedly a little girl turns up and asks him for a bicycle: her mother has promised her that she would get a bicycle from Santa Claus when she is eight. Misu tries to dismiss the issue with a joke, then tries to get money, though angry with the little girl he cannot get rid of. She turns out to be an orphan, living in a children's home. Misu gives in, and they pass through a lot of adventures together. After at last distributing all the bicycles of the department store, Misu is taken to prison. Liza follows the prison van on a bicycle. (Hungarotop)
