Little Red Riding Hood

These avant-garde directions in film have always passed me by in an arc, and the same is true with this unusual adaptation of a classic story. But with Christina Ricci, who's kept her cuteness since The Addams Family, I immediately had a better feeling. In short, it's as avant-garde as it gets, with all the trappings that go with it: the emphasis on expression, the lack of higher meaning, the bleakness, and many other features, but it doesn't lack a certain artistic value.
