Six people are brought together at the funeral of a childhood friend. While settling the estate, they discover a map, which leads them on a search for a long forgotten time capsule, at the request of their dead friend. What they discover reawakens repressed childhood traumas and leads them on a journey through their long abandoned childhood home: a home with a terrible secret and a mysterious dead girl who will lead them to their strange fates. Another dud from Horrorfest. I avoided it like the plague, expecting another boring ghost story, but today internet was down and Crazy Eights was the only film I had available. It wasn’t that boring, but I don’t think I’ll ever have the courage to watch it again.

A prime example of what happens when the creators are aiming for a horror film with a sophisticated story, while lacking the skills and funding. Given the fact that I nearly counted more producers than actors in the opening credits, it seemed rather cheap. I failed to see the point of this film, if I can even call it that. I was so bored that the fast-forward button came in handy a number of times. It was simply pathetic, but at least I got to see Traci Lords again :-))
