angielski With the passage of time and the influx of competition from modern animated series, such as The Simpsons, which have been worked on by whole platoons of writers, it is understandable that the once iconic image of the Mézga family has somewhat faded. The pace, from today's perspective, is too slow and there is a lack of clever tricks like changing "title" jokes, etc. However, it is necessary to realize that at the time of its creation, it was a bombshell on our screens, a breakthrough of animated children's content into the realm of the broadest family entertainment, airing at interesting times. Gradually, three series appeared, with Holidays being the most mature and having an appeal for adult viewers. It is no coincidence that the first two series, more aimed at children, have higher ratings - nostalgia plays a significant role here. In a way, the Mézga family repeated a similar journey to the one undertaken by the hero of Jules Verne's novel, just with more contemporary problems, such as the family of the wonky Hungarians going through tough mercenary training in tropical Africa or encountering the South American mafia. It was the only Hungarian series that left a lasting impression on viewers of that time and that can be easily watched today. The neighbor is the embodiment of skepticism and represents a new level of bungling. Overall impression: 90%. ()
