Opisy(1)

(HBO)

angielski Blind Date is exactly why I like 1980s movies so much. But they must be the proper crazy eighties – back when the screenwriter had no problem writing up complete crap and pushing it to a stud like Bruce. Today, we are all spooked about him, thinking about how big an action star he is, but back in the day, he didn’t care. He was able to be just a simple man – a man who gets a little cuckoo for cocoa puffs every now and then. Just like he did in this movie; and thanks to that, I kept smiling throughout those 91 minutes. Also, you wouldn’t believe what a clown Bruce can be. ()

angielski There was once a Kim Basinger who was allergic to alcohol. There was once a Bruce Willis who underestimated the warnings that a drunk Kim would behave like a pig. Together they starred in a straightforward 1980s comedy that, while occasionally delighting with catchphrases here and there, otherwise fits fully into the "it was okay" category. I really don't need to see the same gag three times in a row within a few minutes. ()

angielski Unfortunately, the comedic swing I expected from the film came only during the night scene in the house, when people were climbing from window to window, from room to room, locking themselves in, running away from the Doberman, falling from balconies, etc. Otherwise, not great, but Bruce Willis was good (and about halfway through the film set up almost as well as John McClane at the end of any given Die Hard). angielski I was surprised at how bad this movie was. The romance was pushed to the background in favor of comedy. But the movie was trying to be funny at all costs, and the quality paid the price. The whole thing was very uncomfortable to watch, and the ninety minutes of this travesty seemed more like four hours. 2*- ()
