A wonderfully gritty, dirty and minimalist revenge flick with a typically nasty Australian vibe. Yes, I enjoyed it.

Basically, I fully agree with Pedestrian. That said, this film is not only something I didn’t like, but also something that managed to royally piss me off. In every exploitation film it is absolutely crucial to establish a bond between the protagonist and the viewer, who must understand the motivations, feel the pain and the humiliation, and share the desire for revenge. The Horseman has none of that, the protagonist reacts so unpleasantly that any reasonable person will categorically refuse to root for him. A lousy film unworthy of anybody’s time.
