Bohater filmu Su jest zamożnym człowiekiem, urodzonym za czasów mandżurskiej dynastii Qing, który nagle traci swój dorobek i ciężko wypracowaną reputację w wyniku nikczemnego spisku. I was blown away by this. I felt like I had seen all the top martial arts flicks from Asia, but this was a rough rest. Just the opening breathtaking action scene had me on my ass and I knew this would fit the bill. The story rips off just about any cult action movie, but who cares when the visuals are colorful, the action scenes are amazing (good slow motion and solid choreography), and there’s almost constant, so there's no chance of boredom. The action also has well chosen locations, the main bad guy dipping his hands in poisonous snakes, scorpions to get more power was cool. I wasn't too keen on the philosophical wu xia aspect in the middle of the film, but that was beautifully made up for by the 15 minute finale against a bunch of gorillas, for which I have to go 5*. True Legend made me the happiest I've been in a long time. 85%.
