This is a pretty awful movie. The fact that Josh Hartnett is in it caught my attention, as well as the poster that hinted at some time play, but what you get are two storylines that are relatively unrelated to each other. It was probably just about making it look historical and epic. It ended up succeeding to a certain extent, but that doesn't change the fact that it's just a dragged-out romantic mishmash with a predictable ending and a terrible Hartnett.
