The movie follows quite standard and well-trodden paths and doesn't surprise with anything, except perhaps with its fairly frequent detailed shots. It's nothing against anything, not too much horror, but with an attempt to bring forth a horror that will appear historical, and will continue with a beloved character. But there won't be any myth-building going on here, the movie doesn't have that aim and doesn't try for it.
