WHITE FROG is an original young adult drama with comedy and heart about 15-year old Nick, a neglected teen with mild Asperger's syndrome whose life is challenged and ultimately changed forever when tragedy hits his family. White Frog follows Nick Young, a sweet Asian-American teenager with mild Asperger's syndrome, who loses his "perfect" older brother Chaz in a car crash. In order to stay connected to Chaz, Nick digs deeper into his dead brother's life and uncovers secrets about his older brother that threaten to tear the Young family apart. angielski White Frog is a fairly unremarkable film with a compelling premise, in which several social issues of our time collide, but even so, I felt at the end that much more could have been wrung from this fertile ground. The cast was mostly likable, except that I somehow couldn't get to like the main character's parents. I was most impressed by Booboo Stewart, who handled the role of the young autistic man quite solidly, and next to him also Amy Hill as Dr. King. What happens when we suddenly find out that everything we thought about a very close person was just an illusion? Can we look the truth in the eye and face it? In short, an average film that is nicely made but could have been more incisive. ()
