Peak - Über allen Gipfeln

A valley lays bellow snow covered mountains. A duo sings to the homeland: “Here where the forests whisper in secret…” The idyllic scene is deceiving. The tracks of a large project can be seen. At night, crawler vehicles clatter through the snow to optimize the sky slopes. The excavators open way to create a water reservoir and produce artificial snow. Concrete department towers are raised, while a couple of old people comment that there isn’t any future left for their towns. “Peak” shows the invasion and hostile takeover of the Alps to use the land for touristic skiing, and shows the people affected by this.
