This black-and-white silent film presents in a mournful tone the image of a slowly emptying uranium mine, which is experiencing the same fate as dozens of similar facilities in Central and Eastern Europe. The 1990s take their toll, and the slowly dwindling mine becomes a melancholic and chilling monument to bygone times and its workers, trapped in the grip of a departing era. (10.07.2014)
