Hakgyo 2013

The series sucked me in at first and I even thought it would be nice if every TV series in a school setting were like this. But then the same problems started repeating themselves over and over again, everything got terribly dramatic, and I got tired of the pouty faces of all the kids in the class. Of course, the fact that I'm not at all a fan of Woo-bin and Jong-seok didn't make it any better. Moreover, Woo-bin plays the same role everywhere, a troubled student with an angry look (his role was a carbon copy of what he played in The Heirs and A Gentleman's Dignity, for example). Moreover, the boys put unnecessary obstacles in their path and often acted completely childish. But fine, I admit I was a little moved about three times. In the end, what I liked most about the whole series was the soundtrack, which wasn't too crazy for a teen show, and Na-ra Jang and Daniel. They made a wonderful duo. Otherwise, not that great. 2.5 stars. (17.07.2015)
