It's probably not even necessary to debate whether it's a sequel or not, although there are some common characters here, especially Nighy. Once again, it's a calm, almost senior-like tension, where it's a very restrained thriller, even in terms of violence, which is minimal here. The psychology doesn't work much either, only the characters can hold your attention.
