The growing awareness of the locals in the Peruvian and Colombian Amazonas. In 2012 I travelled into the Colombian Rainforest to search for some indigenous tribes, that still used to live in a very traditional way some years ago. But especially the ruthless efforts of some BBC reporters in the area of the upper Rio Javari destroyed the pureness of these local tribes. So we as a production crew had to change plans and go a new way finding a different story plot for our documentary. As the most prolific documentaries always turn out to be much more influenced by chance than by rigorous planning we let us drift with the flow of the Amazon. In this journey we then met many more interesting characters along the line with profound living backgrounds and that made this film a much more inspiring piece of art as expected in the beginning. The story starts with a local fisherman and biologist nearby Leticia in the Colombian Amazon, a guy who crosses the entire Amazon in his selfmade "bycicleboat" and leads towards Peru meeting the famous artist Francisco Grippa. Finally we arrive at the Rio Ampiyacu near Iquitos, where we got introduced into the life of the Yagua and Huitoto/Bora people. A meeting of audiovisual filmart, great cinematogrophy, fantastic music with an up to date info about the endangered tribes of the Peruvian Amazon. (Mezinárodní festival outdoorových filmů)
