Macuri no uma

Horse and man have walked side by side for thousands of years. In Fukushima this companionship is celebrated with traditional festivals every summer, which also Mr Tanaka attends. His horses were saved from the 2011 tsunami, but many of them died of starvation later on. Tanaka wants to do the right thing, but what good are sick horses for? The touching Horses of Fukushima shows the far-reaching consequences of the disaster. In the reticent documentary the strongest feelings are conveyed by the horses' gazes.
