The Garden of Eden

“The landscape architect’s dream is to transform a piece of land into secret niches where one can dream” – the landscape architect, L. Yahalom, must have had this in mind when he designed Gan HaShlosha (Sachne), one of Israel’s biggest parks. Much more than just a place for experiences and leisure activities, the park is a melting pot for a huge variety of nationalities and a range of personal circumstances. We meet a woman who has been left by her husband; a widow who cannot get over her husband’s death; an Arab who still feels like a foreigner and many who have lost their loved ones in the war. The Garden of Eden goes beyond the Middle East conflict and takes stock of everyday life in Israeli society. (DOK.fest München)
