The message of the gangster "Dandy's" return from the United States releases hectic activity everywhere: while Police investigator Knauer checks up the files on his old 'customer', his father-in-law Zenker, a retired federal court attorney, asks his friends to an important conference at the Palace-hotel. What wasn't granted to him during his working life, should succeed now: he finally wants to put "Dandy" behind bars. Zenker is certain that "Dandy" wants to pull off some crooked things again - he is now already in contact with different "colleagues" from the old days. The gangsters organise the coolest coups, but whenever it comes to cashing in, they find someone else has already cashed in before them. Of course Zaenker and his specialist friends is behind all this. "Dandy" doesn't understand the world any longer; he becomes more and more nervous and finally makes a crucial mistake.
