Chanel i zabójstwo (2016) (S02E05)
Not much of a leap forward from the last one, though I did bump up the rating a tad. I gotta hand it to Chanel No. 8, she really wore her heart on her sleeve, and Denise Hemphill's fate brought me some serious satisfaction. At least I don't have to listen to her raspy voice all the time:-)

I'm sticking with my two-star rating, but here's the thing: they did manage to add a little flavor to the otherwise dull plot with that whole competition angle. Still, let's be real, there wasn't much to rave about. That special something that made the first season shine seems to have faded away.

You know what caught me off guard? This episode finally had me laughing. Sure, the whole "evil hand" thing isn't exactly groundbreaking, but it's still got that entertainment factor.

Either I've gotten used to how bad the writing is, or the creators are stepping up their game in the second half. Anyway, I found myself enjoying it. And if there's one thing that deserves an extra star, it's that party for a member of the "golden generation." That was something else!

It feels like someone on the crew took a good look at what made the previous season great, and they nailed it with the humor this time around. It was a blast, and having Brooke Shields in the mix was just the cherry on top!

The second season finale didn't exactly blow me away, but it definitely ranked among the better episodes. I'm relieved it's over now, though. It brought a few laughs, which was nice, but the same old issues persisted throughout the season, with Niecy Nash's raspy voice as a bonus.
