The creators of the series seem to have run out ideas while writing the fourth season. In my review of the third season, I said that I was hoping that the cooperation between Chuck and Bobby could revive the series. Now I can honestly say I was wrong. It was only wishful thinking, and this turned out to be the weakest season yet (at least for me). 4*- (17.10.2020)

The start of the fourth season didn't exactly blow me away, but it didn't let me down either. Chuck's stint as a traveling salesman brought some entertainment, and Bobby's ongoing rivalry with the other company kept me intrigued. Some episodes leave me wondering if the creators aimed for seriousness or humor. While they often blend both seamlessly, the resolution to the dead dog case and the corporate clash felt disjointed. Bobby Axelrod sometimes echoes Ralph Fiennes' portrayal of the concentration camp commander in Schindler's List – a cold-hearted figure who occasionally shows a softer side. (16.10.2020)

In my last review, I pondered whether certain episodes were meant to evoke laughter or melancholy, but in this one, there was no ambiguity. The creators clearly aimed for humor. Maybe a bit too forcefully, as there were moments when it felt a tad forced. 4*- (16.10.2020)

I thought that the creators of the series would be satisfied with Chuck's hobby and avoid the current trend, but I was wrong. However, I have to commend them; by making their lesbian character someone who matters in people's lives, they raised the bar to a whole new level. I'm glad they didn't get too carried away and didn't undress Taylor again, once was enough for me. 4* (16.10.2020)

The creators seem to have settled into a predictable template that they follow with each new season, and it's starting to grate on me. The fourth season finale failed to deliver any surprises because I've seen the same formula play out in the three previous seasons. It's disappointing that the writers haven't shaken things up.
