Kono subaraší sekai ni šukufuku o!

When I watched the first episode, I saw a single review on the discussion forum that said it was "hilarious". After the first episode, I still did not really believe it was that funny, although I have to admit that it has really picked up a lot of momentum since that. The two main couple of protagonists are quite interesting, and their interaction and dialogues seemed entertaining, although it was only after another two members were added to the gang that it really got going. It is almost as if Terry Pratchett decided to make a fantasy anime series based on the world of RPG. I mean, even just the witch who can only cast one super devastating spell perfectly is Pratchett-esque and is almost like his character Rincewind. Plus there is the flying cabbage? Are they being serious? The combination of ideas, originality, the wacky humor, the interesting world of RPG, and some classic Japanese tropes (it was to be kind of expected that the “steal” ability would turn out the way it did, although I thought Kazuma would use it to get some bras...). Anyway, it is a combination that works! Very much looking forward to the second season... 9/10. (25.07.2019)

Speaking for myself, I have to say that I expected it to be much more kinky and ecchi, it is an OVA after all, plus there are a lot of girls, and Kazuma is a smart and healthy young man. In the end, I was pleasantly surprised that everything was played out with some wit and insight, and everything was moderately kept within certain limits. The pacing was a bit slow, but the conclusion made me laugh quite a lot, and the way Kazuma apologized to the various girls was also quite amusing. 7.5/10. (26.06.2016)

This season is still about as funny as the first season, even though some of the jokes are repetitive, and as it is with repetitive jokes, it is simply not as fun as when you first heard them. Sure, some moments evoke nostalgia; however, the first season was not released that long ago, so the nostalgia was entirely unnecessary. The characters in this season also do not show any particularly interesting development; they are actually still just as good (or rather bad with a lot of shortcomings, depending on how you look at it). So, this season is more about the situations the characters get into that change, although, of course, the messages and the characters' behavior are quite predictable. However, I cannot say that I found any episode boring (or did not laugh). At least concerning the narrative, it was often very original, and some ideas, like the Axis cult and its recruitment practices, were highly amusing. The animation is definitely not that great, not even that good, even though it is easy to get accustomed to it (after all, it was the same with the first season). Some of the characters' expressions are once again quite memorable. As for the soundtrack, I have to applaud the ending especially, which always enhanced my enjoyment of the show. I would not say this season is worse than the first; rather, it is just less original and surprising, albeit still very enjoyable and entertaining. 8.5/10. (11.01.2017)

Based on the year of release, the running time, and the fact that the rest of the world of KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! has already got a profile here, this should be the last OVA, so let us say this is the eleventh episode of the second season. The episode is pretty good, the characters are still just as entertaining, and the final point regarding what is really going on with the Kazuma's groupie was once again quite amusing. This OVA is average for KonoSuba, although it is still a decent show which is above average compared to the other anime series in my book. This is because I am still finding this show really enjoyable. 8/10. (14.08.2017)
