Zwiastun

Opisy(1)

In the near future, a virus of epic proportions has overtaken the planet. There are more Infected than Uninfected, and humanity is losing its grip on survival. Its only hope is finding a cure. After the fall of New York, Lauren – a doctor – has come to Los Angeles to lead the charge in the hunt for Uninfected survivors, and rescue her family barricaded in their LA home. Lauren's objective is simple: lead her team into the field and rescue survivors, filming their experiences so it can be used for research. But nothing could have prepared them for the mayhem they walk into. As they search for Uninfected, fend off the Infected with whatever weapons they can find, and fight for their lives, we see everything from their point of view – directly from their helmet cameras. angielski It isn’t as bad as you might think at first glance. I didn’t expect anything from the movie and the outcome is that I got a number of nice scenes from a first-person perspective, which has already been done by Hardcore Henry, but I haven’t seen it before watching this movie. Don’t look for a story in this movie, look for action, which really isn’t shot badly at all. ()

angielski John Suits isn't a bad director in the low budget film genre. His previous effort, The Scribbler, impressed with its unorthodox form and in Pandemic he tries again and succeeds better than before. The biggest upside is the handling of the POV format, which adds a touch of dynamism and authenticity, and at times you get the feeling you're playing a very action-packed CGI romp. As for the plot, it's completely bland, taking place in the near future where most of the population is infected and what I liked is that the infection has up to five stages. There is quite a lot of action, it's long, pleasantly brutal and very suspenseful. In places the film also manages to create a dense horror atmosphere that reminded me of REC. An unexpected surprise for me. I had fun. Better than the shitty Wyrmwood. 75%. ()

angielski It might be from whichever perspective, but this film simply can't hide that it doesn't have what it takes to tell a truly new story; it just rehashes what has already been done so many times. This is nothing more than a survival film featuring zombies, or something very similar to them. It’s pretty boring. ()
