Seven of the top ten causes of death in the U.S. are due to chronic illness - with cancer and heart disease accounting for half of all deaths. Is it any wonder how it's gotten so bad when we as a species have moved further and further away from the natural world, replete with nutrients, life-saving organisms, and the very sources of a healthy life? Instead, we sustain ourselves on fast food, meat, and a litany of bad choices - we are literally killing ourselves. The inspiring IN SEARCH OF BALANCE follows renowned physician, Dr. Daphne Miller, as she seeks answers on how we've gone so far off track and how we can climb back to healthy living. The Earth is a complex web of organisms, all connected and able to support each branch of the tree of life, and humans are all part of that web.
