Pavel Hobl's little known musical presents Jiří Menzel as a handsome teacher with rather unusual educational methods. The girls of the infamous class at a grammar school mostly listen to radio during the lessons, and they cannot even multiply. The new professor, Ludolf distributes several “F”s in the very first lesson. The rebellious girls start with spiteful pranks, even manipulating their parents against the uncompromising teacher. However, Ludolf cannot be deterred and comes up with an idea to turn the hated classes into an entertaining attraction. He turns Pythagorean theorem into music and gains numerous groupies. angielski Total pleasant, but undemanding musical with several nice songs, where one of the stars is provided by the cast, led by charismatic Jaroslava Schallerova. This film today works both as a matter for the memoires, and as a preserved portrayal of certain stars. In one of the roles of mathematically untouched girls, for example, the very young Lenka Flipova appeared and she was a very nice sight... Overall impression 55%. ()

angielski Oh, those saving end credits! If I heard the Pythagorean song one more time, I would probably start to hate mathematics. Nevertheless, the film is enjoyable, Jiří Menzel is a comedian cynic in his own right, the girls are beautiful (Jaroslava Schallerová reminds me very much of Veronika Kubařová), Zdeněk Svěrák's dialogues (who doesn't say a single word himself) are suitably funny and there is nothing bad to say about the music by one of our geniuses, Angel Michajlov.
