Channel 4 has commissioned Betty to take some of the country's best Michelin starred chefs and set them the challenge of taking cooks from greasy spoons, burger bars, chicken shops and other iconic examples of British fast food and making them world class. Each episode will chart the ups and downs of one protégé in one mentor's restaurant as they attempt to learn all from the crème de la crème of cooking in just three weeks before being sent abroad to one of the world top restaurants to put their skills to the test. Can they pass themselves off as a consummate commis chef in the VIP eateries of Paris, Berlin and Milan or will the pressure prove too much? (Channel 4)
