Gender roles and expectations get reversed and transgressed in this unconventional love story written and directed by Rafa Lara. When the not-so-beautiful Vivi sets out to sweep her old socialite boss off his feet, romance and hilarity ensue as both of them have to learn new rules to an old game. The story transcends the rom-com boundaries, though, for it also entails the clash of working class and privilege as much as male vs. female roles. (Dallas International Film Festival)
