In this ncredibly creepy thriller, reformed drug addict Tim Brett attempts to investigate the recent murder of his elderly aunt. Unfortunately, given his past, no one is interested in his theories - except, of course, the killer.

A recovering drug addict, Tim Brett (David Hemmings) is determined to solve the mystery of his aunt's brutal murder. Searching for a mysterious group called "The Stepping Stones," he meets a strange woman who gives him an ominous letter. Later, Tim receives a tape in the mail that ends with a sinister laugh. It's soon determined, however, that the letter was typed on Tim's typewriter and the laughter is his. Convinced he's being watched and followed, Tim's paranoia becomes a major source of concern to his fiancée Julie (Gayle Hunnicutt), who wonders if Tim's getting too close to his Aunt's killers or is slowly going insane. angielski I can't help but like the overall atmosphere of this film immensely. David Hemmings was given a role that suited him perfectly, and although the script is ultimately not great, he played his part superbly. It made me want to watch every minute and I was in suspense about what was going to happen and how it was going to turn out. ()
