Kasane

The daughter of famous actress Sukeyo (Rei Dan), known for her great beauty and incredible talent, Kasane (Kyoko Yoshine) must live with a face deformed by a giant scar, even though she is blessed with impressive performing skills. Ashamed of her ugliness, she´s always trying to hide her scar, which led to her extreme shyness. When Sukeyo dies, she leaves her daughter an enchanted lipstick that gives its wearer the power to switch faces with whomever they kiss. One of her mother´s old colleagues, Habuta (Tadanobu Asano), puts her in contact with Nina (Tao Tsuchiya), an arrogant actress who looks divine but is completely talentless. A deal is then made for Kasane to change faces with Nina and thus creating the ultimate actress. But Habuta´s plan is far much crueler than it looks... (Fantasia International Film Festival)
