The film Shattered Epistemologist deals with the meaning of "truth", in fact, "post-truth" in the age of information overload and media manipulation. The phenomenon of "post-truth" is currently the theme of a global, heated discussion; the term has been used over 2000 times more o en in the last year and has earned the title of word of the year in 2016 in the Oxford Dictionary. The film was made during the author's several month long stay in Berlin and is a culmination of a two year period of his video essay work. It is built on cooperation with the charismatic Berlin dancer with roots in Benin, Meïmounou Coffi, who created an improvised choreography, using gestures that are used to control digital equipment, based on Žák's script. The dance performance collage and abstract, shaky shots become a visual poetic metaphor, complemented by a subjective verbal commentary that places a fictional situation into real-life context.
