Former MMA champion Case Walker (Michael Jai White) has kept a low profile, winning small-time regional matches after refusing to join the powerful new leagues who push performance-enhancing drugs on their fighters. Walker is convinced by old friend and renowned fighter Brody James (Josh Barnett) to join him in Thailand and train him for a big fight against the undefeated and deadly Caesar Braga (Nathan Jones). During training, Brody is injured. Under pressure from an unscrupulous, high-powered promoter (Esai Morales), Walker agrees to replace James and fight his toughest opponent yet — but only on his own terms. A pleasant surprise. I didn't expect too much and actually got more than I wanted. Michael Jai White is still in form and although his acting is rather laughable, he is a lion in the ring. There is plenty of action and it is solidly shot, I liked the atmosphere of the film and the plot drew me in, so there can be no question of boredom. The only disappointment is Tony Jaa, who got a bit embarrassing at the end of the film with his screaming. Nathan Jones is still a bastard. 75%.

We've seen this hundreds of times, but who wouldn't want to repeat the battles of philosopher Michael Jai White and, for example, the 2.5 metre tall fighter from Troy, who may be the only one to become a legend, even though he didn't even touch Brad Pitt. Plus, Michael is also unusually social here and even goes on dates! Otherwise, the same fights, displays of various techniques and an octagon cage, with some intrigue, motivation, training to a thunderous soundtrack and censored Apple. Solid value for a few bucks, but only for die-hard fans.
