Ape

In an England adjacent to our own reality, Travis Bates, an obsessive, impotent, angry young man, is seduced from isolation by an online movement of chauvinism and primal patriarchy. APE follows Travis’s decent into anthropoidal madness, exploring radicalisation via hyper masculinity and the horror of our bestial ancestors. APE is a protest film against the current rise of online misogyny and is equal parts horror and satire. (Washington D.C. Independent Film Festival)
