Yana is a refugee living in Los Angeles when she begins to suspect that Fundi, a taxi driver, is a war criminal from her country of origin. Yana recognizes Fundi's voice as the radio DJ who urged murder and mayhem, and it reignites the trauma of her past. The most painful aspect of her experience was her inability to save the lives of three school girls in her care. Haunted by the spirits of the girls, Yana becomes convinced that the only way to shake them off is through revenge against Fundi. Yana finds Fundi, seduces him to her single room apartment, and with the help of zip ties and a machete, commences a session of truth and reconciliation. (Pan African Film Festival)
