Pedro is admitted to a psychiatric hospital for driving with his lover’s dead body. He imagines that he has three simultaneous lives: one in the past, one in the present, and one in a dystopian future. His story is inspired by events that took place in the 14th century, when King Dom Pedro of Portugal dug up his dead mistress to crown her queen. (Montreal World Film Festival)
