Getting on the road spontaneously, with nowhere specific to go, a nice girl and in a stylish car, specifically a red 1980s Ford – life seems easy in this whimsical Czech variation of the well-established genre. After the success of his student films, Martin Jelinek's graduation picture follows Jakub, who misses something in life despite co-owning a successful Prague start-up. While visiting his family in his hometown of Telc, he meets a childhood friend and their ride begins, but it proves less carefree than they were hoping for. The leisurely passing road and natural dialogue sets banality apart from the existential questions of today's youth. (Febiofest)
