Eccentric musician Ryan Kattner has traveled the world as the frontman of Man Man, playing in front of enormous crowds at Coachella, his songs showcased in Nike commercials and TV shows like Weeds. After all this success, what could be next? Maybe one giant step backwards is just what he needs. With his former bandmates settling down with kids, wives, and mortgages, it’s back to square one for Kattner, leaving Man Man behind for a tour with his new musical venture Honus Honus - fully equipped with dingy hotel rooms, unreliable sound sets, diminished crowds, and a group of new, young musicians. This immersive doc features no staged talking-head interviews, no extensive Behind the Music-esque backstories: It’s real band adventure.
