Ludicrous and moving documentary about an esteemed film critic who stops watching film (and instead evaluates the potential inherent in film posters), giving us an unexpected look behind the scenes at the world’s most glamorous film festivals. Oscar Peyrou, 72, is the partially blind chairman of the Spanish association of film critics. He lives a facile, peripatetic life between cocktail meetings at film festivals and press conferences with film stars. Unlike his colleagues, he does everything he can to avoid watching film. Instead, he has worked out a new method of film analysis, based on the aura of film posters and titles as well as the potency of the names of the cast.
