Narren im Schnee

Anny Ondra's last film of the 1930s. Just as she said goodbye to one of the two main settings of her film characters in A Girl from the Chorus, it was now time to also say goodbye to comedy in the snow. It's not as great as, for example, The Irresistible Man with Hans Söhnker - Hans Depee is no Géza von Bolváry. But even so, it turned out to be quite a successful comedy, particularly with mountain folklore. Apart from singing and playing the accordion, Anny also skis and skates as best she can, i.e., excellently, and eventually she even flies. We haven’t seen that for a long time, but the young critics of the time didn't even remember anything like that - in short, the times were faster than the movies. And the fine Gisela Schlüter reasserted herself in Ondra Film again in Der Gasmann. (14.02.2009)
