Felix Malinin lives in a small town on the outskirts of Moscow. His friends and acquaintances generally regard him as a good person despite his sometimes unsocial and eccentric behaviour and long absences on frequent business trips. Felix's weakness is cooking, and he is a really brilliant cook, but he also has a secret known to only a few. Felix works for an investigation bureau attached to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Not surprisingly his codename is 'Cook', and only a very few top officers in the bureau know his true identity. His job involves undercover operations collecting information that may be of interest to the police. Possessed with courage, imagination, intelligence and a highly analytical mind, Felix is capable of instantly transforming his appearance and behaviour to adapt to virtually any environment and circumstances, and he will stop at nothing to get the information he needs. Giving each mission a culinary name, he approaches his assignments as if he were cooking a delicious meal, savouring and relishing its unique flavours.
