Season 1 (2020) (S01)

angielski Alright, here's an extremely subjective, one-sided, and biased take on this show. As a player of various online and computer games, I'm pretty content. There were definitely a couple of weaker episodes; but the first season really hit the spot for me because it blended together all the things I love: gaming, comedy, drama, and a healthy dose of absurdity. Sure, I'm aware of the flaws in this stage of the series, but I made a conscious decision to overlook them and just enjoy the ride. I'm eagerly anticipating what comes next. / Lesson learned: If you've got a vision that's not political or religious, pursue it. ()

Pilot (2020) (S01E01)

angielski The show has the potential to be a hit for me. It blends humor with online games, which is right up my alley. However, for it to really win me over, it needs a strong storyline (C.W. Longbottom would surely agree). Since I'm not quite sure about that yet, I'll start with my usual three-star rating.  After the first round, Carol from HR really stood out for me, so I'm diving straight into the next episode. / Lesson learned: Hold your ground. ()

Kasyno (2020) (S01E02)

angielski I can't say I'm completely satisfied, but it's better than the overall rating suggests. In the world of online gaming, the biggest priority for any game is to attract as many players as possible and, of course, to turn a profit. This episode focused on that aspect, and it wasn't the worst. / Lesson learned: Enthusiasm and vision are important, but it's money that ultimately rules the world. ()

Piękne przyjęcie (2020) (S01E03)

angielski The creators hit the mark this time, and I found myself laughing out loud for the first time. Despite my dislike for political correctness, I couldn't help but enjoy how they cleverly used it to poke fun at it. You can't stop progress, and while the Nazis were responsible for countless atrocities in WWII, today they often serve as a comedic foil. However you slice it, it's a positive development. I had a great time watching and couldn't help but wonder if GGG keeps Bex locked up in some inaccessible basement room. / Lesson learned: If you're heading to a non-violent protest, maybe pack a sawed-off shotgun in your backpack, just in case. You never know who else might show up. ()

Konwent (2020) (S01E04)

angielski This time around, it didn't quite hit the heights of the previous episode (the Nazis were missing), but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy myself. When I was playing PoE, I found myself needing to watch streamers for guidance, which led me to categorize them into two main groups and one smaller one. Both big groups had their fair share of jerks and self-centered folks, while the smaller one consisted of those who dedicated their free time to helping others in Wraeclast. I found myself laughing out loud multiple times during the thirty minutes, which is crucial for a comedy series. / Lesson learned: When your job turns into a hobby, you're either over the moon, or completely screwed. ()

Mroczna cicha śmierć (2020) (S01E05)

angielski What a surprisingly well-crafted episode. Doc and Beans (especially Beans) kept me entertained from start to finish, and they even managed to deliver a moral message that I fully resonated with. On a side note, I firmly believe that anything Disney gets their hands on is bound to be messed up and turned into an obnoxious musical. / Lesson learned: Sometimes things aren't possible without money, but having money doesn't necessarily make it better. ()

Postać niezależna (2020) (S01E06)

angielski The sixth episode wasn't a standout, but I still gave it four stars because I've grown so fond of the characters that I can appreciate it even in the weaker episodes. However, what it lacked in quality, it made up for with Skynet's self-awareness, the introduction of Sasquatch to the group, and the ensuing rivalry for the alpha male position. / Lesson learned: Want to play online? Make sure those internet bills are paid. ()

Permaśmierć (2020) (S01E07)

angielski This series is definitely one where gamers, especially online players, have a considerable advantage over other viewers. They're likely to have a lot more fun with it. Well... at least that's what I imagine. It's true that my experiences with WoW and PoE really help me find humor in Mythic Quest, even in situations that might seem a bit baffling otherwise. / Lesson learned: Hope may die last, but it's a painful death. ()

Brendan (2020) (S01E08)

angielski I had rpraised this series in my previous reviews, and then the creators throw some family drama at me. It was quite disappointing, honestly. I wasn't in the mood for that kind of nonsense when diving into this show. Thankfully, there were a few moments in the episode that salvaged it enough for me to give it a three-star rating. / Lesson learned: Feeling ignored? Maybe it's not just a feeling. ()

Krwawy ocean (2020) (S01E09)

angielski The title of this episode might be a bit misleading, but the chaos within the company and Poppy's despair were perfect. This episode really hit home with my belief that people are often the root of all problems. When you run a company, you're faced with two major challenges: dealing with the people you employ and convincing people to buy your product. And if you're an employee, you have to navigate working with the people above you, cooperating with other people, and hoping people buy the product your company produces. An this goes on and on. Oh, and blood ocean! While I didn't quite grasp its significance in the game, I enjoyed looking at it. / Lesson learned: Don't forget to disinfect. ()

Kwarantanna (2020) (S01E10)

angielski And they say that anti-pandemic measures were pointless. Every comedy series at the time had its working-from-home episode, and from what I caught, I enjoyed them all. Wasn't it worth the countless companies folding? The tenth episode was particularly entertaining, featuring all my favorite characters, including Sue and Carol. Also, Sylvanas Windrunner making an appearance in MQ was quite the unexpected surprise. / Lesson learned: Don't wait until flora and fauna start setting up camp on your skin — take that shower! ()

Everlight (2021) (S01E11)

angielski Let me just say, at the close of the first season, we got a beautifully polished episode for us gamers (and all the nerds out there). I've been thoroughly enjoying the ride from the get-go, and to my surprise, the real star of this episode turned out to be Jo. She absolutely immersed herself in her character, and it was a joy to watch. It's definitely worth appreciating that kind of enthusiasm. / Lesson learned: No matter what, watch out for... "Fireball!!!!" ()

Season 2 (2021) (S02)

angielski I’m rating Season 2 the same as Season 1, but I’m actually slightly more satisfied with it. The show seems to have gradually gotten over its childhood diseases. The creators have shown that they are no strangers to humor or quality drama. I personally like that they are not afraid to poke fun at political correctness which I’ve come to hate with a passion. I’m greatly satisfied, and I’m looking forward to the next season. / Lesson learned: Follow your vision. ()

Titans’ Rift (2021) (S02E01)

angielski Had some reservations about what the second season had in store, given how much I loved the first one. After diving into the opening episode, it seems like they're on the right track. Mythic Quest (the game) took a bit of a backseat, but those dream sequences and Caroline's perpetual struggles totally made up for it. / Lesson learned: Daddy issues. ()

Zrzędliwa koza (2021) (S02E02)

angielski The second episode was a bit of a step down from the first, but I still gave it four stars - purely for the sheer joy of someone finally poking fun at the issues we're dealing with these days. The reactions to that big revelation were so on point that I almost laughed my head off, and I'll admit, a tear might've slipped out. / Lesson learned: What you see as a life-changing moment may seem trivial to others. 4*- ()

#MniamMniam (2021) (S02E03)

angielski Nah, this episode didn't win me over at all. It had a lot going on from all angles... and now I'm wondering if that's the main problem. It felt like the creators had too many irons in the fire. But not to be all negative; the hunt for the right creative vibe was cool, and that Battle for Azeroth trailer scene was a nice touch. / Lesson learned: Don't sell out. ()

Breaking Brad (2021) (S02E04)

angielski No way! Finally a series that straight-up challenges today's overly inquisitive political correctness, calling it out as a heap of biases it was supposed to protect against. Talk about a paradox, right? The fourth episode wasn't exactly my cup of tea, its main theme didn't quite grab me, but I've gotta give props to the bold dialogues. / Lesson learned: When a pig hits slaughter weight, it's case closed. ()

Podpisz tutaj (2021) (S02E05)

angielski The fifth episode was hilarious, especially with my favorite, super-frustrated character stealing the spotlight. The storyline wasn't mind-blowing, but despite that, I had a blast and couldn't help but fondly recall the good times we had back when I had to put my team through similar tests. There weren't any animals in them, though. / Lesson learned: Nowhere else will you witness a fight between a mouse and a shark. ()

Geneza! (2021) (S02E06)

angielski I've been griping about the shortage of humor in many sitcoms, which I find hard to understand. The sixth episode of MQ didn't do much to tickle my funny bone; however, I'm not here to whine about it. The creators dished out a drama so thick you could practically skim cream off it, especially with C. W. Longbottom's story, and I've got to say, they really knocked it out of the park. / Lesson learned: Be assertive. ()

Peter (2021) (S02E07)

angielski The seventh episode hit me out of left field, much like the one before it. Mythic Quest, to me, is all about the comedic peek into the development of an online game I'd totally be down to play myself. However, the last two episodes threw in a lot more drama that felt only loosely tied to the series. Generally, I'm not a fan of such shifts, but the storyline about the ex-drug addict, womanizer and drunk was surprisingly intriguing for me. / Lesson learned: Revenge is a dish best served cold. Just make sure you've got the time to savor it.
