Raymonde Carasco reads excerpts from Artaud's writings. Although the film is primarily an anthropological record of the Easter celebrations, it forms an organic whole combining color and black-and-white footage. Its occasionally mystical nature draws on Artaud's view that the body does not need any organs. "Los pascoleros" is above all a visual study of Artaudian anatomy, in which every organ is a parasite.
