angielski At times when there were rumors going around the Czech Republic about German cinematography, saying that it’s fairly bad and that the only truly high-quality movie was Knockin' on Heaven's Door, there was actually a lot of directors in that neck of the woods, brimming with ideas and showing some real high-quality filmmaking, only we didn’t really know about them. One of those directors is Volker Schlöndorff, who has filmed a very decent drama based on a real story. It might be a little dated, but it’s also radiates rawness and authenticity. The ending is right out of an old French crime investigation movie, but you’ll remember it for a long time to come. The German Film Festival has showed us once again that German cinematography isn’t bad in any era. ()
