La mancha negra

The story begins with the death of Doña Matilde Cisneros, who brings together her three daughters Modesta, Manuela and the unbalanced Mercedes, and her eldest son Eugenio during the two days that her wake will last. His son is accompanied by his wife Emilia who, in need of collecting his share of the inheritance, is forced to return to the town from which he had to flee 15 years earlier. The return of Eugenio also awakens a dormant spirit of reproach and revenge among the neighbors. During the night of the wake the darkest secrets of the Cisneros family will come to light before the present body of their mother. All the hatred, resentment and frustration of the past will return the night before burying the late Doña Matilde.
