angielski It’s flat and uninspiring... so basically a faithful portrait of how I've always perceived Schumacher. But it's superficial, emotionless, far from the genius of Senna. The creators erected a memorial blessed by the family, but really they are just confirming that Schumacher will always be more of a cold piece of marble among the greats of the sport. ()

angielski I was always more of a fan of Häkkinen, but Schumacher was also a great driver, no doubt about that. The documentary nicely presents his arrogant excesses, his stubbornness and the way he would risk his life. It shows him as a good dad, a miserable singer and presents him as a pretty great guy, instead of a cold, stone statue. No inspiration, no recruitment drive for future Formula 1 drivers. In some cases (e.g. Jean Todt) it seems to me that it holds back a little in describing Schumacher’s reactions, and that’s a shame. The lesson of this movie is, maybe... don’t ski... it can be lethal. ()

angielski Who doesn't love these legendary tales of machismo and roaring engines? Sure, the Schumacher documentary is primarily an emotional tribute to a legend, rather than the surgically precise and detailed analysis of genius that the Senna documentary provides. But there are none of those ambitions, this is more an easygoing documentary for the whole family than an analysis of the mind of a racecar driver. Some of the facts are abbreviated, or too much to the point, but it is certainly impossible to deny the fact that they show Schumacher as a fine guy with properly aligned values and total discipline, and very probably that is exactly what he was/is in reality. angielski I didn't expect Schumacher to be as amazing a documentary as Senna... And it's not. But it is definitely a good documentary, excellent in some three quarters of the film, but above all, the conclusion lacks something that would make it a great experience. Not perhaps a current shot of Schumacher or tabloid details of the accident or his condition, but simply something other than the lukewarmly careful something that is in the film. Otherwise, it is an excellent, captivating documentary, which, of course, highlights the protagonist, but also does not protect the dark sides of his extremely competitive nature. The two passages that have to do with Ayrton Senna (one of which is the famous press conference, of course) brought tears to my eyes. It was definitely worth it, and not only because of them. ()
